Interval Training Rules…

…and it always will.

Why?

Because if you do it, and do it right, you will continue to burn calories from that single workout for 24-48 hours after the workout is done.  This means that you burn calories while sitting on your butt.  It’s a beautiful thing.

Now, of course, you’re an active person so you’re not sitting around on your butt much; right?

So let’s say you did interval training for just 3 days out of the week, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

You do a super intense workout on each of these days.  Each workout will keep you burning calories for up to 48 hours.  So from workout to workout you are steady burning calories which translates to burning fat.  Beautiful thing; right.

I design workouts that produce this effect for my boot campers.  They feel like they have truly had their butts handed to them when they get done but I think each one would tell you that they wouldn’t have it any other way.

We workout for 45 minutes.  In that time frame we are able to get a warm-up done, main workout and a cool down very efficiently and if that’s all they wanted to do for the week they won’t ever gain another pound as long as they live (provided they control the diet portion).

So if your doing long slow cardio and wondering why you can’t get those last pounds off, try interval training for one month and feel the difference.  You won’t regret it – in fact, you’ll fall in love and save time doing it.

Of course, you have to keep in mind that “your diet” makes up your composition so…don’t do lots of hard effective training and forget about the diet…you’ll be hitting your head against the wall and that hurts after a while.

If you are in the Hutto, Taylor, Georgetown, Round Rock, Pflugerville or Austin area and your looking for a fitness camp that will provide you with the fat burning tools that were just discussed then you owe it to yourself to take me up on a free test drive.  Leave me a comment saying “I want to try it” along with your email address and I will get in contact with you and set you up for the next class.

Until next time…Thanks for reading!
